Kubernetes automation can improve workload reliability and efficiency, but teams need confidence before letting systems run on their own.

Yasmin Rajabi, COO at Stormforge, discusses team buy-in with automated gates, human control, and the move toward autonomous operations.

In this interview:

  • The role of team buy-in when introducing Kubernetes automation.

  • How automated gates and human control fit into the conversation about reliability and efficiency.

Bart Farrell: For the first time in KubeCon history, LearnKube will be hosting LearnKube Day, and our main sponsor is StormForge by CloudBolt. Very much looking forward to collaborating with you guys in this event. Can you tell us about what talk your colleague Reid is going to be giving?

Yasmin Rajabi: I'm super excited for it. Reid's going to talk about building trust in Kubernetes automation and how you take a cross-wide team and get their buy-in and help build their confidence as you're improving the reliability of the workloads while also improving the efficiency on the other end. What are the pieces that go into that from automated gates to human control to letting the system run autonomously?

Bart Farrell: Excellent. And Reid will be sharing the stage with about 20 other well-known speakers in the cloud native community. Looking forward to seeing everybody get together. The ideas will be shared. We'll also have a DJ doing the YAML Games quiz and other fun things that people can get involved in. We'll see you all on November 9th at the Hilton, which is just a one-minute walk away from the main venue. Looking forward to seeing you there, Yasmin. Take care.

Yasmin Rajabi: Can't wait.
